Samuel M. Perry, Emerson Goddard and Edward S. Renwick made small single shot deringers Perry worked for the Moore's Patent Fire Arms Co. from January 1861 to Thanksgiving 1862 .41 r.f. short caliber .44 r.f. short caliber and .44 r.f. long caliber, Double Header pistol, able to shot 20 ro 30 round per minutes as, in theory one shot was fired and the barrel was pivoted at 180 degrees without extracting the fired shell, an other shell was then entered and fired which extracted the first shell and so on. It seems that 25 of such guns were made and marked DOUBLE HEADER E.S. RENWICK MANUFR NEW-YORK PAT.JUNE 21, 1864 |
